Headfirst runs the nation’s finest academic showcase camps.
Coaches representing the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities will evaluate and instruct. Attending players will have a chance to develop their game while gaining valuable college exposure. This will be the 11th year of the Honor Roll Camp. In 2009, our Honor Roll Camps hosted 800 ballplayers from across the United States and close to 175 college coaches. These programs are can’t miss events for high performing baseball student athletes.
Headfirst's Honor Roll Academic Showcase Camps were started in 1999 to specifically serve the showcasing needs of the country's top high school baseball student-athletes and to provide coaches from some of the nation's top colleges a recruiting tool focused specifically on ballplayers with the academic qualifications to be admitted to their schools. We currently offer Honor Roll Academic Showcase Camps for Baseball only.
This year’s Honor Roll Camp curriculum will include six events and a new venue: Baseball Heaven on Long Island (NY).
Please do not wait to register for Honor Roll Camps. Last year, over 150 families were turned away from our Camps after they sold out. In addition, Headfirst is offering a discount to all customers who register prior to March 1, 2010. Please note, however, that sellouts prior to March 1, 2010 are a distinct possibility.
Many of you will undoubtedly notice that Headfirst will not return to the Virginia Sports Complex outside of Richmond this summer. While it is unfortunate that we were not afforded the opportunity to return to Virginia for a fifth year, we will offer the exact same back-to-back sessions in August in New York that we did in Virginia. We’re excited to provide the same quality of Camps we have for the past eleven years at countless venues throughout the country — and looking forward to our debut in New York.

History
Headfirst Baseball was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1996 on the philosophy that the playing field can serve as a platform for some of life's greatest lessons. Leadership, teamwork, preparation and maximized effort are a few key principles upon which the Headfirst mentality has been built. Headfirst is currently the largest provider of professional baseball instruction in the D.C. area, offering private lessons, camps, clinics, developmental leagues and travel/select teams — as well as academic mentoring and tutoring. The Honor Roll Camp was started in 1999 to specifically serve the showcasing needs of the country's top baseball student-athletes and to provide coaches from some of the nation's top colleges a recruiting tool focused specifically on ballplayers with the academic qualifications to be admitted to their schools.
